Jirani Hub started with a simple observation: local farmers and artisans in Mutuini-Kirigu were selling incredible products, but their reach was limited to whoever happened to walk past. Meanwhile, neighbours just streets away were buying the same things from supermarkets — at higher prices, with no connection to the people who made them.
We built Jirani Hub to close that gap.

The name says it all. Jirani — the Swahili word for neighbour. Hub — the centre of something. Jirani Hub is the centre of a neighbourhood trade network, built specifically for Mutuini-Kirigu and the wider Dagoretti South community.
The area has always had hardworking farmers growing fresh produce in the surrounding plots, skilled artisans weaving baskets and crafting goods, and home cooks preparing meals with real ingredients. What it lacked was a structured, trusted place for them to sell — and for buyers to find them reliably.
We solved that by combining a physical shop off Kikuyu Road with an online marketplace, so sellers get visibility far beyond foot traffic, and buyers can browse from home and receive delivery by motorbike — or simply walk in.
Every product on Jirani Hub has a real person behind it. Every purchase directly supports someone in the neighbourhood. The 15% service fee we add to the buyer's total is how we sustain the platform — sellers always receive exactly what they asked for, no deductions.
We are not a supermarket. We are not a national marketplace. We are your neighbourhood's marketplace — built for Dagoretti, by people who live here.
Everything we do is shaped by four values that reflect how Dagoretti's best communities already work — with trust, fairness, pride and neighbourliness at the centre.
Every price is shown in full before you pay. Sellers know exactly what they receive. No hidden fees, no surprises — ever.
Our 15% fee is added on top and charged to the buyer — never taken from the seller. You name your price, you keep it all.
We are not a national platform. We serve Mutuini-Kirigu and Dagoretti South — a focused community with real, lasting relationships.
